New publication on Endometrial Cancer in Young Women 

A team of researchers led by Dr Angel Yordanov and Dr Mariela Vasileva-Slaveva from the Medical University Pleven, Bulgaria have recently published a scientific paper on the topic of endometrial cancer in women under 40 years of age. This research is based on data obtained from the Bulgarian Cancer Registry.

Endometrial carcinoma in young women is a rare disease. In most cases, patients are diagnosed inearly stage T1, G1/2, N0 and their prognosis is excellent. However, the lack of improvement of overall survival of young patients with endometrial carcinoma in the last three decades shows the need for treatment optimization.
