Biobanking and the Role of Surgical Oncologist in Translational Research

GYNOCARE COST Action Management Committee members from Bulgaria, Ireland and Malta have presented during a webinar entitled 'Biobanking and the Role of Surgical Oncologist in Translational Research'. This is the result of a collaboration  between Dr Mariela Vasileva-Slaveva with the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO) and the ESSO Young Surgeons and Alumni Club (EYSAC).

The chairpersons of this webinar were Dr Mariela Vasileva-Slaveva herself together with Dr Afsana Elanko, Director of. Education for the British Association of Surgical Oncology (BASO). The speakers included: Prof Jean Calleja-Agius, Chairperson of the GYNOCARE COST Action; Dr Sharon O'Toole from Trinity College, St James Hospital, Dublin who is the leader of Working Group 2 which specifically deals with Biobanking, and Dr Rita Mukthar from the University of California, San Francisco, USA.
